HF:WAR Closing Recruitment |

At the end of this week, we will pause recruitment for HF:WAR. Other areas of House Forsaken such as Team Fortress 2 and Counter-Strike are still open for recruitment, but after Sunday there will be no more open recruitment until after the launch of Warhammer Online.
This decision was not an easy one, as every day we receive more and more wonderful recruits. Almost every one of them has seemed dedicated and we can tell they will all be assets to our family here. Of course there is always too much of a good thing.
Right now we have a monumental 40 active members, and 40 active recruits for Warhammer Online. Considering that we are averaging about 5 new recruits PER DAY, we decided that rolling onto the field with 110 active House Forsaken members would be enough to show our server we mean business. Any more and it will come to the point where it is just a sea of blank faces, and we value community and actually knowing each member personally more than a roving band of bytes.
Family and close friends can still apply, but people you meet in Open Beta or people that found us from online web-sites will be unable to apply unless approved by HF:WAR staff.
Recruitment will reopen a few weeks after release day for Warhammer Online, so that we don't get a flood of noobs trying to apply because they saw that we claimed the first guild keep, or that we were the first ones to topple the dwarf lord. An exact date will be decided later, depending on the state of the game at release.

I know the news recently is a lot to handle. New staff, new games, new servers, new everything. Well, it is only getting better.
Interviews:
House Forsaken has completed two more interviews! One is a "Guild Interview" for Only-WAR and the other is "Player of the Week" for Warhammer Vault. The VN one is with the one you really love in the Warhammer Online gaming realm of HF... ME!!! Thanks... I know... No need for words... I feel it. 
Sponsorship:
We have been given the opportunity to say "We are a sponsored guild" by a well established gaming sollutions provider. No, not Sean.. lol. More news about that as the partnership is formed between this company and HF. It will start off with gaming server support for our FPS gaming, but it will certainly go beyond that with this company. They will provide us with the means to do almost anything our members are looking to do. So yeah, my hard work has paid off eh? Though it helps that between members and visitors, our web traffic and page views have been through the roof. More unique users are visiting our site today than ever in our history.

It is coming. Very flashy. There is a lot of tweaking to do though so we can get the most out of it as possible.

New TF2 Public Server |

As the topic says, House Forsaken now has a second TF2 server.

Samm will be adopting it from me, setting up all the maps and fixing the admins as soon as he can in between WAR beta and sleep.
We will be looking at ways to get the servers more active throughout the day and building House Forsaken's TF2 following. That might involve looking at other teams and seeing if they want to use our server, possibly to gain a guest admin slot and other benefits. More to come that later. Just wanted to put the news up about the new server.

We have two promotions to tell you today.
Greyedge - Membership Coordinator
Will work directly for Directors to ensure that all recruit and member usergroups and rosters are updated. All realm level recruitment/member managers will report directly to the MC. They may suggest changes to realm recruitment process, but it is a Realm Leader's responsibility to create and keep a recruitment program that fits the needs of HF and their individual realm. Although given forum admin, they will not conduct any other admin duties of the forum. They only get admin so that they can properly update a user's status in the guild.
StormFire -Forum Mod/Queen of the Gypsies
He will just be himself. No.. seriously, he is back being super active and is thus back being a forum admin, trolling and making sure the kids play nice. In other duties, he will dance and be a gleeful member of the caravan. Make sure your money and valuables are secured!!!
Other Notes:
-HGL usergroups have been removed... for good.
-Odinn gots a pretty bike.
-Pictures of Samm getting out of the pool have burned my eyes.
-Musco and Rahsk make a good couple.

Warhammer Conflict Guild Spotlight |

We were featured in the guild spotlight on Warhammer Conflict. A big thanks to Wrenn and everyone who helped contribute to the interview (you may even see your name in it!)
House Forsaken is one of the oldest guilds in the known universe. They've been around since 1996 and have played many, many games together. Now, they're focusing their attention on WAR! We were fortunate enough to interview several members of their WAR guild. One thing is for certain - "Destruction" has a lot of experience on its side!
