House Forsaken - Striking First |

Prior to this year, we have used social media for our gaming community needs. House Forsaken has had Facebook and Myspace groups. Don't forget that online video gaming in general is ALSO classified as social media. So too are web forums and the various gaming networks such as Steam and Battle.net that we have used over the last 14 years.
Enter Web 2.0. Going beyond traditional
Using unpaid media such as Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, and reconstructing our site assets, will ensure that we can not only talk to one another as HF members through other means, but build upon the community by opening up to other gamers online. Until recent, the web forums have been the center of the community. With real-time chat using VoIP (Ventrilo and TeamSpeak), House Forsaken was able to be a little more social. Since 1996, we have had over a half million forum posts and our VoIP server has been given many more slots as the guild has expanded (not to mention the unlimited TS server we used a while back). New changes will provide multiple entrances to become a part of the HF community.
We have a large group of non-members that follow us in the community. To be a part of HF, one should still go through the recruiting process for each of our games, but let's think differently. With a new social media model, we will be able to flip the guild/clan school of thought in a way that our members are smaller in numbers than our followers. Better yet, House Forsaken members will be at the core and community members will be able to float inward to become more active and more associated with us. Users who are active in our social media channels may be gamers themselves or friends and family members of ours. They may even be gamers of other communities. Although this is not new, it is untraditional.

On Wednesday night, after countless other nights and attempts spent on this one encounter we finally were able to down the LK. Congratulations to all involved be it on the night of the kill or the countless hours on attempts!!!
I apologize for the distant SS, I thought I was zoomed in better.
