My 58 year old father plays runescape :P
Runes of Magic is good, basically a free version of WoW, just limited to one race.
You could also try Allods Online, it's supposed to be extremely well made for a F2P

lol I still have that installed. I believe Dungeons & Dragons is free to play now so you might want to look into that if you already haven't.

i did, i got bored of playing alone and destroying everything by lv5-6ish
played runes and it really seems like a wow clone, with far more quests. I'm lv8 and probably have completed 30+ quests and still got 10+ in my book. Oh and I hit for 20's and mobs have ~300hp....and my pet hits for 300's. =x
guess i;ll try out allods
edit: trying allods. 10 seconds in the game already looks fucking awesome. The first quest for the Arison is also pretty sweet.
got a cool nuke, i can 'prepare' it and cast before hand then the next one is insta-cast (but i gotta use it before i can cast somethign else)

Allods is pretty fun, so far it reminds me of wow/war a lot. Much better mix of quests than runes of magic (which was just overwhelming with them). Has a "fatige" exp that works like wow rest xp (so much double xp/day). Get your first 4 spells by leveling, then after that you get 1 talent pt/level (2 every 5 or 10) and use it to unlock new spells or upgrade existing ones (1 pt for lv1, 2pt for lv2, 3pt for lv3), then after lv10 you buy talent rubies that further upgrade said spells. Most classes can be spec'd 2-3 different ways and still be viable (according to the forums), you'd also need a completely different set of gear as there are like 10 stats you can get. Has or supposed to have pvp starting at lv23 (i think 40's the max).
Has 2 factions, each has 3 races and the races can be up to 8 classes (warrior/paladin/scout/warden/mage/healer/summoner/psionist) which is called a unique name and has 1 unique ability.
Its F2P but has the item shop
Anyone who wants to try it im on the Nezeb server and playing empire (but you can make both sides on the same server/accn). I'm only lv9 (been making other chars). Empire has a sweet tutorial (Leagues is decent) both of which take about 20-30minutes and quickly jump you to level 4 and teach you the basics. though if you've played practically any mmo ever then you will already know 90% of it teaches you
I spent about an hour playing around with Allod yesterday. Seems fun, and definitely reminds me of WoW.
